I'm Gourab Mal, the engineer and creator behind MalFunctions—a technical studio and content hub dedicated to unravelling the complexities of modern web architecture. Over the last five years, I've spent my days deep in the trenches of Laravel backends, Vue/Nuxt frontends, and AI automation pipelines. But writing code is only half the fun; talking about it is the other.

I created MalFunctions as a platform to document my engineering journey and build in public. Whether it's a deep-dive YouTube video explaining Model Context Protocols, or an article breaking down the nuances of server-side rendering, my goal is to help other developers level up alongside me.

The Intersection of Code and Creativity

I believe that engineering is a highly creative field. When I'm not debugging a tricky production issue or architecting a new API, you can find me writing poetry and crafting short fiction. That same storytelling drive fuels my content—taking highly technical, dry subjects and turning them into engaging, accessible insights.

As a Senior Software Engineer, I tackle real-world scalability problems every day. The lessons I learn in production inevitably find their way into my articles and videos, ensuring everything I share is battle-tested and practical.
